Now yes everyone loves a 'Posh Spice' look but the truth is that not everyone can pull it off. If there's anything that I've learned from the last two years, it's to understand just how vast the fashion spectrum is and the 'posh but trendy' looks are actually quite hard to hack. But not to worry, because I shall help you style your way to the epitome of poshness!! I'm sure how you can see how excited I am to talk about all things posh and no I am not a posh spice wanna-be. Here's five of my top tips to 'poshify' your look and I can promise you now that these are fool-proof ;)
1, Belts
Wearing a belt to a look can really elevate your look regardless of what you're wearing. Now I'm more of a dress kind of girl and it can often look hard to incorporate a belt into your OOTD but trust me, if you find the right belt, your outfit will pop! It's good to have some staple belts that you can wear with multiple outfits like a plain black or brown belt, especially if you're wearing block colours. However, finding the right belt on a patterned outfit can be a bit hard and that's when you're going to have to splash a bit of cash. Wearing outfits with bold prints require a matching belt and that can often be hard to find but I believe that every belt was made to match a print!
Here's a few belts that you can class as your 'staples' because they'll go with any outfit in block colours:

2, Neutral Tones
Neutral tones are EVERYTHING when you're trying to pull off a 'posh' look. I mean, the occasional hot pink and mauve is acceptable right? So long as you're not pairing those colours with neon, it's all good. People often ask what the first step is to having a minimalistic look and the first step is to declutter or rearrange your wardrobe. I feel as though a good rearranging helps me place my thoughts with regards to what I should be wearing and how to style them. Call me obsessive but yes my wardrobe is arranged via colour coordination. When I say that it is the most aesthetically pleasing thing to look at, believe me, it is! Not only is it a pretty sight to look at, it also helps to pick and figure out your style. Ok maybe wardrobe rearranging should just be a whole new post but what I'm trying to get at is the fact that you need to see mostly neutral tones like soft greys and browns when you open your wardrobe if you really want to hack the 'posh' look. Fabrics like cashmere, especially in winter adds a whole new level of satisfaction and fabrics like satin, silk and cotton are fabulous for a summer look. Simps layering with your neutral tones is also a brilliant way to start, and if you're not sure on how to style certain pieces, don't worry I've got you covered ;)
Here's some winter inspo:
For some summer inspiration, I think it's so important to keep your comfort as a priority and often for me, that means long flowy dresses. Layering in the heat can be incredibly uncomfortable and in order to look good, you have to feel good. In summer, it can be a bit hard to keep with the whole nude colour palette so it can usually be an excuse for fashionistas to go wild and crazy with the wardrobe colours. Finding the perfect summer dress can be from quite literally anywhere; from the traditional English Sunday markets to the boujie luxury brands, maxi dresses with full sleeves can be a rare find. So here's a few of my favourite picks for a 'posh' summer look:
3, Micro-Bags
The latest trend being seen absolutely everywhere is the new 'micro bag' look that makes you look somewhat accomplished in the world of fashion. The idea behind finding the right bag is to look for a bag that's too small to fit a regular smartphone in. Smart right? I know. Although this is significantly impractical, the look is worth it. Another thing with this trend is that finding this 'small' bag is relatively easy to find. Much like the nude tones trend, one can find a really small bag pretty much anywhere. The look usually incorporates a small bag usually in nude tones, so a soft beige or white or black with a long strap, but to really look the part, one must carry the bag by the shorter strap. So here's a few pictures of some mini bags to elevate your looks to the next level:
4, Off-the-nose Sunglasses
The epitome of the 'posh' look usually includes a pair of sunglasses regardless of the weather. I think everyone is at a point in life now where nobody cares what you're wearing in certain types of weather. Another thing to consider is awkwardness. Looking down whilst walking is usually the go-to for me so an alternative to awkward eye contact moments with strangers are sunglasses. And of course the rule is, the bigger the better. So the best type of sunglasses to wear to accomplish the 'posh' look are the of-the-nose type of sunglasses. Even if they are the massive square sunglasses, just wearing it at the lower bridge of your nose elevates the look to a whole new level. Here's a few ideas:

At the end of the day, regardless of how you style your outfits, the vibes are totally up to you. Some people can pull off the classy 'posh' look and for others, other vibes are what suits them most. For some inspiration on how to style yourself to accentuate that perfect level of 'poshness', here's a few of my favourite social media fashionistas.
